I just always felt like Quinn was blindsighted by Sam. She ended off the first season wanting a change and to start over. But once she met Sam, her resolve went to shit and she couldn’t help but fall for him. She looked so unsure of herself during their early scenes, as if her feelings and attraction towards him were so sudden, strong, and confusing, and she didn’t know if it was okay to feel that way. I say she couldn’t help but fall for him because in many scenes throughout the course of their relationship, she looked genuinely scared of the way he made her feel. As if someone could come and rip him away from her in a second. As if it was a love she never thought she deserved, and suddenly there he was, opening his heart to her and welcoming hers. And that scared her, because no one had ever cared that much before.
Maybe its just Dianna Agron’s face and the way she looks at Chord. Or maybe I’m delusional and these are all my Overgron feels. But to me, Quinns relationship with Sam shed light on her inferiority complex. She definitely felt like she didn’t deserve him, and the way he made her feel, and the way he treated her. But all he wanted was to be trusted with her heart. Sam was the one who brought her back down to earth. Sam was the one who confronted her fear, and conquered her heart. Thats what Fabrevans means to me, because that is what Sam meant to Quinn.
